PUBG developer Krafton has filed a big case on Monday. It is suing two mobile games developers that they are coping PUBG: Battlegrounds. And Krafton is also suing Apple and Google because they are distributing mobile games on their app stores. Name of these games are Garena Free Fire and Free Fire Max. Google is even accused of hosting YouTube video gameplay of these two games in question by Krafton. And bundles of posts carrying feature length Chinese film which openly violated the battlefield. “Nothing but dramatic live action”.
PUBG game developer Krafton alleged that Garena copied the most popular Battle Royal title. In law suit Krafton further mentioned that Garena has earned millions of Dollars by selling these two games. Google and Apple have also earned significant amount by distributing these Free Fire games. Both of these games are still available on Apple’s App Store and Google’s Play Store.
PUBG developer- Krafton claimed that he had taken action against Free Fire Max and Free Fire on December 2021. In which he asked Garena to mmediately stop its exploitation of Free Fire and Free Fire Max. It also include to cancel its permissions to Google and Apple. Garena clearly denied to do so. More over , Krafton also ask for cease distributing and exploiting of these two games on Google and Apple plate form. Krafton also requested YouTube to erase numerus videos of game play belongs to these games.
PUBG: Battlegrounds released in 2016 and with in no time become most popular game. The genre-defining game taken to android and ios devices in 2018 through mutual efforts between Krafton and Tencent games. According to sensor tower data reported to Verge Free Fire earning touch $1.1 billion in player spending in 2021. As graph shows 48% year on year growth. While Krafton earned $2.98 billion during same time and year on year growth remained 7%.
