The Thinnest Wrist-Watch in The World is Only 1.75 mm Thick:
The Richard Mille RM UP-01 Ferrari has claimed the title of the thinnest mechanical wristwatch, measuring only 1.75 millimetres in thickness. However, this watch comes with a hefty price tag of PKR 52.6 CR, making it a limited edition timepiece that may not be readily available through official channels. Third-party dealers or resellers may be able to assist in locating the watch.
For those interested in Richard Mille watches, the company’s official website offers a selection of watches and authorized dealers in various regions. The customer service department can also provide further assistance in locating the RM UP-01 Ferrari or other Richard Mille watches.
Watch enthusiasts may be familiar with the ongoing competition among watchmakers to produce the thinnest mechanical timepiece in the world. In 2018, Piaget Altiplano Ultimate Concept set the world record with a thickness of 2 millimetres. Bulgari launched the Octo Finissimo Ultra earlier this year, measuring 1.8 mm in thickness. However, the reign of these watches was short-lived, as the RM UP-01 Ferrari measures just 1.75 millimetres in thickness.
The design of the RM UP-01 Ferrari is unique, featuring a small register in the middle of the top half of the watch displaying the time and a circle next to it revealing the balance. The movement can be accessed through two smaller circles on the left side of the watch. While the design may not suit everyone’s taste, Richard Mille’s craftsmanship and ingenuity cannot be disputed in creating such a thin mechanical timepiece.
