Pakistan Army Secures 7th Position in Global Military Strength Index:
According to the 2023 Military Strength Index, Pakistan’s army has made significant strides and now holds the seventh position among 145 countries. This marks a notable improvement compared to its previous rank of 15th in 2020. Over the course of the last three years, Pakistan’s armed forces have steadily progressed in the rankings, initially moving from 10th to 9th place before attaining their current 7th position.
The Military Strength Index evaluates the capabilities of each country in land, sea, and air warfare, employing conventional methodologies. The leading positions in the rankings are occupied by the United States, Russia, China, and India. Above Pakistan, both the United Kingdom and South Korea hold higher rankings. Turkey’s military is positioned at 11th place, while Australia secures the 16th position. Pakistan’s neighboring country, Iran, is ranked 17th.
The Military Strength Index encompasses a comprehensive analysis of modern military powers, taking into account various factors such as personnel strength, equipment, natural resources, financial capacity, and geographical factors. It assesses more than 60 different criteria to determine the final rankings.
