Islamabad: The joint opposition in parliament has begun deliberations on the proposed names for the NAB-Chairman of the National Accountability Bureau. Four names are under discussion in opposition steering committee from parties including PML-N, JUI-F and PPP.
According to resources, PML-N has suggested two names including Nasir Mahmood Khosa and Salman Siddique. While PPP and JUI-F proposed Jalil Abbas Jilani-formor diplomat and justice retired Dost Muhammad respectively. The steering committee will finalized three names for NAB Chief. Further opposition leader of National Assembly Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif will give final approval for NAB Chief.
Law minister said that Shahbaz Sharif is facing NAB case, so there is a conflict of interest. Now it’s up to him whether he thinks he should consult the prime minister or not on the matter.
