New Dinosaur Species Discovered by Scientists in Spain:
In Spain, scientists have made a significant discovery of fossil fragments that point to the existence of a new type of dinosaur. Through the study of these fossils, which include a jaw bone, a tooth, and five vertebrae, they have identified a previously unknown species of spinosaurid.
The fossils originally unearthed in Castellon, Spain, back in 2011 and have recently been describe in a scientific publication. Spinosaurs characterized by their large size and bipedal walking stance, and they are typically carnivorous dinosaurs.
Based on the estimated age of the fossils, they are believed to be from a period approximately 127 to 126 million years ago. By analyzing the remains, the researchers estimate that this particular dinosaur would have measured around 10 to 11 meters in length, which is equivalent to roughly 32 to 36 feet.
This discovery adds to our understanding of the diverse range of dinosaurs that once roamed the Earth and provides valuable insights into the evolution and biodiversity of ancient ecosystems.
