Now Jazz Cash Will Charge Fee on Cash Deposits:
JazzCash, the largest mobile wallet in Pakistan, has recently made changes to the pricing structure for cash deposits into M-wallets.
As per the notice available on the JazzCash website, a fee of 0.50 percent + Federal Excise Duty (FED) will now be applicable for cash deposits ranging from Rs. 50 to Rs. 20,000. For cash deposits exceeding Rs. 20,000, a fee of Rs. 100 + FED will be charge.
A representative from JazzCash clarified that these changes implemented in accordance with a circular issued by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on May 12, 2023. The circular introduced a charge of 0.5% of the transaction amount or PKR 100, whichever is lower, for cash deposits into M-wallets. JazzCash took proactive measures to inform customers about these modifications through its website, and retailers were also notified via SMS.
