Islamabad: Jazz Digital Park -JDP inaugurated on Monday to provide onshore cloud services to enhance data storage capacity in Pakistan. Jazz Digital Park costs $8 million to establish.
Digital Park will help to accelerate digital transformation objective significantly by making improvements in existing level of IT services.
Kaan Terzioglu -the VEON Group chief executive officer-CEO inaugurated this park. JDP is the largest telecommunications industry association -TIA tier-III certified data center.
The park will help to secure IT infrastructure and hardware hosting facilities to different business sectors as well as start ups at local level, Jazz claimed.
JD Park will also host new cloud platform which will launch by Jazz. The onshore cloud is a significant step for data safety that data created in Pakistan now hosted within the country.
Kaan Terzioglu said that we are focusing on creating a flourishing Digital Ecosystem in Pakistan by making use of our leadership position.
The Prime Minister Imran Khan also inaugurated Pakistan Digital City in Haripur, last week. Pakistan Digital City in Haripur contained on 86 kanals of land. This digital zone Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government’s flagship project which provide all required facilities to IT industry in the country.
This project will also help and provide facilities to researchers and planners in private and government sector.
