Food Outlet Sealed In Karachi for Serving Food in Plates Made with Condom Packaging:
On Wednesday, the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi made headlines for the wrong reasons when a traveler discovered that paper plates made from condom packaging material and used to serve food to guests.
The traveler expressed shock and shared a video on social media, which quickly circulated. Although the food got praise for its excellence, the poor management of the establishment led to the Border Health Services taking swift action to seal the food counters of the responsible company. Dr. Murtaza Shah, the director of Border Health Services, stated that the action taken in accordance with the health minister’s instructions for the province.
The airport manager of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has also been accused of negligence in this matter. The CAA has sealed the company’s food counters at both domestic and international terminals and imposed penalties. Sources with knowledge of the developments revealed that identical plates were being used for both domestic and foreign travelers for several days before the video was posted, which prompted the CAA to take action.
