Some details have come through resources that SEA-ME-WE 6 cable will be live and ready to offer services by the first quarter of 2025.
SEA-ME-WE 6 -The Southeast Asia-Middle East-Western Europe 6 is submarine cable system about 19,200 km long which is connecting Pakistan with other countries between France and Singapore. SEA-ME-WE 6 is going to offer lowest delay among the Middle East, Western Europe and Southeast Asia while transferring more about 100Tbps. Which is nearly equal to 40,000 high definition videos per second.
The SEA-ME-WE 6 consortium comprises Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company, Trans World Associates, Mobily (Saudi Arabia), Telin (Indonesia) Dhiraagu (Maldives), Singtel (Singapore), Djibouti Telecom, Orange (France), Sri Lanka Telecom, Telekom Malaysia,Telecom Egypt, and Bharti Airtel Ltd. (India).
Mr. Kamran Malik -President of Transworld said that Transworld has decided to join SEA-ME-WE 6 consortium to develop a latest and efficient high capability submarine cable network. It will help to meet the increasing demand of bandwidth and play a key role in coming era of 5G networks.
SEA-ME-WE 6 has double capacity as compared to recent SEA-ME-WE cables systems. As it has more pair of fiber than SEA-ME-WE cables. More over SEA-ME-WE 6 is providing additional layer of diversity and flexibility between Europe and Asia for high traffic density.
