Pakistan became forestry champion in UN summit on climate held in Glasgow COP26. Pakistan, Cost Rica and Congo selected Forestry champion in the summit.
This selection will give Pakistan an opportunity to guide all other Asian and neighbor countries to take green initiatives. These initiative will help to over come the effects of climate change in effective manners. UN has given this task to PAK, Cost Rica and Congo to lead their continents about green projects and forestry.
This project is commencing by global efforts to over come the challenges of global warming and climate change.
PAK will lead Asian countries
Now Pakistan has become leading country in Asia region as “green country”. PAK will guide and share his experience with Asian countries about his highly appreciated projects. These projects are Ten Billion Tree Tsunami, Protected Areas Initiatives and Clean Green Pakistan.
Some media reports revealed that Ten Billion Trees Tsunami project of PAK played a vital role in this selection as Forestry Champion.
PM’s assistant Malik Amine reviews
Special Assistant of PM Khan on climate change Malik Amin Aslam said, in spite of country’s economic problems Pakistan decided to go on clean and renewable energy projects instead of coal power plants and different are underway to with Chinese companies to apply this rule within stipulate interval.
Malik Amin added more that PAK would now be part of a community of leaders who would disrupt business to move towards a positive global economy and prevent natural disasters by 2030.
He added more that Govt of Pakistan has launched Green Stimulus Project. Which aimed at promoting plantation, growing natural forests and nurseries. It will also animate honey fruit, Olive plantation, job creation and restore the ecosystem in the country.
