WhatsApp has introduced a highly anticipated functionality that allows users to modify their sent messages. This means that if you happen to make an error or change your mind after sending a message, you now have the capability to rectify it.
To edit a message, simply press and hold on it and choose the “Edit” option from the provided menu. You can do this within a timeframe of 15 minutes from the message’s original sending time. The edited message will display a label stating “edited,” informing the recipient that it has been modify. However, the specific edit history will not be visible.
This feature is being gradually release worldwide and will become accessible to all users in the upcoming weeks. It’s important to keep in mind that, similar to all personal messages, the messages and any subsequent edits are safeguarde by end-to-end encryption.
