It is revealed in mini budget that government is going to increase the tax on mobile recharge from 10 to 15 percent.
Users are also receiving text messages from companies to inform them about government tax increment. As they have to pay 15% tax on prepared card instead of previous 10% tax due increase in government tax.
Government’s mini budget has raised more pressure on shoppers of telecommunication service.
When costumers will recharge their cell phones with cards, tax will be deduct automatically. Now users will be able to receive only 72.20 RS for the recharge of 100 RS.
Previously, government tax was 10 percent or 9.10 rupees on prepared card of 100 rupees.
After the mini budget tax, 13 rupees will deduct instead. And on the remaining 87 rupees, a General Sales Tax -GST of 19.5 percent will apply, which amounts to 14.8 rupees.
More over end users will receive 72.20 rupees. While 27.8 rupees will get deduction as tax on every recharge of 100 rupees.
