According to the police, the suspect, accompanied by an accomplice, purportedly conducted the theft of suits from a tailor’s establishment situated in Moti Bazar within the city limits. Remarkably, the authorities managed to recover at least 12 suits believed to stolen from the aforementioned shop from the apprehended suspect.
This incident echoes a similar occurrence from the previous year, where miscreants absconded with 70 sacrificial animals just prior to Eid ul Adha celebrations in Karachi. Among the pilfered livestock were predominantly cows and goats, presumably chosen due to their comparative ease of theft as opposed to camels.
The theft captured in a viral video circulating across social media platforms, leaving viewers astonished. The footage, recorded on June 26, depicted an unidentified individual swiftly making off with a cow from the streets of Federal B Area’s Ancholi Society in Karachi. The incident was caught on CCTV, showcasing a man exiting a luxury vehicle before executing the theft in a matter of seconds.
These incidents serve as stark reminders of the various challenges faced by law enforcement agencies in curbing theft and ensuring public safety, particularly during festive seasons.
