Asiana Airlines Passenger Opens Emergency Exit Mid-Air Due to Suffocation:
In South Korea, a passenger aboard a flight took the drastic step of opening an emergency exit door and later explained to the police that he did so because he felt suffocated and desired a swift exit from the plane, which was preparing to land. The incident unfolded on an Asiana Airlines flight traveling from Jeju to Daegu, resulting in minor injuries to twelve individuals as the cabin quickly filled with air upon the door being opened. Subsequently, the man responsible for the act was detained by the police in Daegu, and he could potentially face a prison sentence of up to 10 years if found guilty of violating aviation security laws.
According to reports, the 33-year-old passenger mentioned experiencing feelings of suffocation and stress following the recent loss of his job. Authorities in Daegu have submitted a request for a warrant to formally arrest the individual.
