China Plans to Bring Internet on Moon:
In order to enhance connectivity and navigation for future spaceflight missions, China has ambitious plans to create a moon-centered deep space internet as part of its lunar exploration program. This internet will include features such as communication, navigation, remote sensing, and more. The goal is to transform our earth-centered space infrastructure into a moon-centered system that can eventually be extended to the broader solar system.
According to Wu Weiren, the chief designer of China’s lunar exploration program, this internet will allow the moon to have access to TV programs, games, and WiFi network, ensuring that astronauts will never be bored on the moon. Wu also noted that China is rapidly progressing towards completing the basic model of its phase-four lunar probe missions, and has full confidence in their ability to leave Chinese footprints on the moon by 2030.
