Rasheed Naz has passed away at the age 73 in a hospital of Islamabad on Monday. He was famous and popular veteran film, stage and TV actor. His son Hassan Noman told to DAWN that he was receiving treatment due to his health issues.
A large number of artists, relatives and fans attended the funeral of late actor held in Peshawar.
Rasheed Naz born in Peshawar on Sept 9, 1948. He started his acting career by a Pashto film broadcasted by PTV Peshawar center in 1971. Naz has preformed in over 250 films, TV dramas and stage plays in Pashto, Hindkoh and Urdu.
Naz gained respect and popularity by a Urdu play Aik Tha Gaon in 1973. This play broadcasted from PTV Peshawar. Apne Huwey Paraye, Ghulam Gardish, Pinjra, Khuda Zameen Se Gaya Nahin, Dusra Asman, Inkaar, Ishq Mohabbat Apnapan, Pathar, Dasht, and Zama Jang are Rasheed Naz’s famous TV projects.
His most famous movies are Karachi Se Lahore, Khuda Kayliye, Baby, Kashf and Kandahar Break.
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa- Mahmood Khan shared heartfelt sorrow and grief feeling over the demines of legendary actor Rasheed Naz.
