On Tuesday, Asad Umer -Federal Minister for Planning said while he was inaugurating National Census Coordination Center -N3C that first time in the history of Pakistan Digitized Population Census would complete in August 2022. The census will not require any Computerized National Identity Cards -CNICs as it will be on the basis of “as is where is”.
The Ministry of Information Technology and the National Telecommunication Center will make sure that any data of personnel will not be able to get hack. And it should not be internet based census. GIS mapping and Geo Fencing will help to supervise the procedure. Asad Umer gave briefings to news agencies while inaugurating N3C at Pakistan Bureau of Statistics -PBS on Tuesday.
Counting of every person will take place where he is living for last six months.
Umer replying to an answer regarding some obstacle in census due to interprovincial travels like in Karachi said that counting will occur on the basis of current location. He added that if they are along with family then they will be count or any other location they are present.
Asad Umer assured that no curfew will impose in the country during holding next census exercise.
