The Government of Pakistan is going to launch a seamless and secure application for messaging named “Beep Pakistan” for government official and employers.
According some news agencies National Information Technology Board -NITB an affiliated department of Ministry of Information and Technology is working to develop this application. This application will have features like voice calling, chatting and video calling for government officials only.
Resources claimed that Minister of Information and Technology has made this app compulsory for the government officials. The cabinet members, other staff with sensitive positions and Prime Minister also will utilize this secure messaging app.
This app was under discussion for long time but now its development process is near to complete and final testing will start soon.
This android application “Beep Pakistan” is similar to WhatsApp however its user interface -UI is different regarding cyber attacks and security threats keeping in mind.
It is necessary to mention that a India had tried to get secret information from Prime Minister Imran Khan’s phone. They used spyware software developed by an Israeli company raising tension of privacy and rights violations. So this app will help to keep information secure among the government officials.
