Italian national tv channel telecasted a documentary TV series on popular and famous tourist destinations in Pakistan. Ambassador of Pakistan to Italy -Johar Saleem revealed this news on Twitter.
According to some resources, Rai 1 -Italian state channel aired documentary ( of famous tourist destinations in Pakistan) in three episodes. The first episode of documentary aired on 28th December, second on 30th December and last episode on 4th January.
First of all trailer released, which indicated the picturesque Northern areas of Pakistan. Skardu in Gilgit is among different destinations explored.
Ambassador Jauhar Saleem said on Twitter, “Italian National TV will project Pakistan as an exciting tourist destination in a 3 serial documentary during the current holiday season,”
Pakistan-Italy exports increased by 35% in 2021 as a result of this initiative. It was remarkable greater than national export growth. More over, workers remittances from Italy also reached to all time highest figure $601 million. That’s why, Italy became a Pakistan’s largest source of workers remittances from the European Union and the second largest in Europe after the United Kingdom.
Most importantly, Italy interested to take initiative regarding gemstone training institute in Gilgit-Baltistan in order to exploit the potential of these areas. As it will enhance mutual cooperation between countries. In the latent gemstones industry Pakistan has an export potential of worth US $32 billion annually.
Andreas Ferrarese -Ambassador of Italy to Pakistan explained the plan to Chairman Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
More over, Italy aims to start a new era of economic and trade development with Pakistan by transfer of technology.
