Islamabad: Mohammad bin Salman -Saudi Crown Prince likely to visit Pakistan in March as Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are in talks to set dates for this visit.
Official resources gave briefings to news agencies that Pakistan wants Mohammad bin Salman to be guest of honor on 23 March, Pakistan day parade. Last time Saudi Crown Prince visited Pakistan three years ago in February 2019 just after the Palwama attack in India.
In his last visit Prime Minister Imran Khan drove the car of prince while receiving him from airport to show good relations with prince. After making of government, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf -PTI Saudi Arabia had increased financial package to increase foreign reserves of Pakistan.
But with in a few months, relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia hit an unusual roadblock. As PM Khan joined Malaysian Prime Minister and Turkish President on the occasion of UN General Assembly session in 2019.
But after the victory of President Joe Biden, once again Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have come close to each other. As Joe Biden kept a distance from Saudi Prince and also withdrew from arm support in Yemen war.
Both countries come closer again after PM Khan visited Saudi Arabia in last year. This tour led to get another bailout package of 4.3 billion cash support.
Pakistan is also going to host a general conference of OIC Foreign Ministers in March 22, 2022. It is possibility that foreign ministers also attend Pakistan Day parade.
