Arshad Malik- CEO Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has stated that PIA flights will resume to European countries in first quarter of 2022.
This announcement made after a validation committee of ICAO-International Civil Aviation Organization give clean chit to PIA on safety audit report earlier this month.
In July 2020 The European Union Aviation Safety Agency -EASA ban PIA to operate in European Union countries. It happened due to illegal licenses issues and flight safety concerns.
Pakistan Aviation Authority suspended 262 silences of PIA pilots. Because they were accused of getting license in unlawful manners. They contaminated Pakistan’s Aviation Industry.
International Civil Aviation Organization send a team to audit safety measures of aviation authority in Pakistan. The team prepare report on 10 December, however final report is still awaiting. In which the Significant Safety Concerns (SSC) would phased down step by step.
In recent interview last week Arshad Malik said that “You’ll feel happy to know that very recently the ICAO Audit has conducted. Although official information has not shared with us, but we are very hopeful and very positive.”
He added that in first quarter of next year we will able to fly or travel through PIA to Europe and there will no ban.
He declare that they have sorted out all issues regarding air lines like license, control, safety and quality team.
