Meta based instant chatting app WhatsApp is working on advanced features to secure and protect WhatsApp accounts from unauthorized access.
According to some posts of WABetaInfo, This is two-step verification feature, via an additional code-called a PIN. It will require when account holder log in to WhatsApp after entering registration code containing 6-digits.
In case users have forgot the PIN, this feature will allow them to log in to their emails and restore WhatsApp account.
Users will also able to reset their account if they have lost their pin or unable to log in. They can do this quickly by requesting a reset link.

By using different apps account holders can generate token authentication codes:
Google Authenticator: This is one of most famous and popular AUTH apps. But it has disadvantage that no automatic encrypted recovery backup and the app cannot be locked by biometric verification or passcode.
1Password: It provide more advance features to protect your credentials but not too simple authentication.
Authy: It is authentication app and incorporates with encrypted backups. More over, user need to disable multi-device to avoid others to logging into app by using a phone number.
