Pakistan Telecommunication Authority -PTA has issued a notification about slow internet speed in Pakistan. According to PTA a fault in underwater cable has slow down internet speed in Pakistan
The fault detected in Transworld 1 -TW1 cable which is approximately 400 kilometers away from the cost of Pakistan. TW1 is basically cable system spreading around 1300 kilometers connecting Oman, United Arab Emirates and Pakistan, according to PTA.
Yesterday, PTA issued a notification which revealed about issue in these words, “Internet services could cause disruption across Pakistan due to a cut reported in Transworld 1 -TW1 submarine cable system.” There is cut in Transworld 1 cable which reported at 6 PM on Monday. But this cut is causing interruption of service in international bandwidth. It will result in slow internet speed for Transworld 1 bandwidth users, PTA said.
PTA added more in the statement that a consortium is arranging Adhoc bandwidth to decrease the effects of fault. All efforts are going to restore the fault as soon as possible.
With the passage of time, submarine cable issues are increasing in Pakistan which are causing to slow internet speed. Recently a fault in submarine cable accrued which slow down internet speed by one terabyte.
