According to the UAE government, it is working with FATF to remove the UAE from the gray list, and progress is being made on identifying suspicious transactions in the economy. The UAE has also been included in the gray list. The UAE is working with FATF to remove the UAE from the gray list. Progress is being made on the identification of suspicious transactions in the economy. According to the FATF, the UAE will work to implement the FATF action plan, while the UAE government is taking steps to curb money laundering and terrorist financing. Following the FATF’s move, the UAE government has said it is working with FATF to remove the UAE from the gray list, and progress is being made on identifying suspicious transactions in the economy. International affairs experts have expressed deep concern over the FATF’s decision, saying that the task force was being used for political purposes. Protect money that facilitates the transfer of money looted from developing countries and in countries where it is legal to buy and trade property with black money through counterfeit companies. The Paris-based global watchdog of money laundering and terrorist financing praised the FATF’s strong progress on Pakistan’s international commitments to fight financial crime at the closing session of its hybrid planning session. The statement said that the task force also included the United Arab Emirates in the gray list of countries with insufficient control over terrorist financing. It also decided to appoint its next president for a term of 2 years. Pakistan was included in this list in 2018 due to which foreign firms became more cautious about investing in Pakistan. International affairs experts say the FATF’s decisions are politically motivated. Many countries, including the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan, could be the target of financial and international institutions under the influence of the Western world, as they see it in the case of Russia and Ukraine. For not supporting the West’s position and leaning towards Russia, they are considered punishable. Even in the case of neutral countries, the Western world is making discriminatory decisions.
