WhatsApp Brings Two New Features for Users:
Meta, the owner of WhatsApp, is introducing an upcoming update that will enable users to share their screens during video calls. This new feature allows users to display their screens to the person they are conversing with, and it is currently being tested by a select group of beta users. The intention is to make this feature available to a wider audience in the near future.
To utilize this functionality, users will need to click on a newly introduced icon within the call control view. Once activated, the user’s screen will be recorded and shared with the other participant. It should be noted that older versions of Android may not support this feature, and it will not be compatible with large group calls or outdated versions of the app.
Users will maintain complete control over the screen sharing option and can discontinue it at any time. Importantly, this feature will only be activated with the explicit consent of the user.
Furthermore, some users may notice minor adjustments to the navigation bar located at the bottom of the app. The tab order may be rearranged for certain individuals, showcasing Chats, Calls, Communities, and Status tabs.
