Spanish sports website Soy Madridista claimed that Javed Afridi -a prominent Pakistani billionaire is now in a race to succeed Roman Abramovich as owner of Chelsea.
Javed Afridi is a Pakistani Business Executive and owner of a team in Pakistan Super League -Peshawar Zalmi. And he is showing interest to purchase one the most famous football clubs.
Khaleej Times reported that Afridi’s consulting team was in meeting on Wednesday with legal agency and sports in United Kingdom. There are a lot of investors who are taking interest in buying Chelsea Football Club. They know that it’s a good opportunity and time to invest in football game.
A billionaire from Switzerland Hansjoerg Wyss has also claimed an offer from Abramovich. He is going to be very tough candidate for Afridi and his investor’s group against the fierce competition.
A Russian billionaire is reportedly selling Chelsea as a lot of pressure is building for his position as a owner of the Premier League Powerhouse just few days after war declared between Russia and Ukraine.
The billionaire purchased this franchise in 2003 used is fortune to change London club into one of the Europe’s super elites. Also remember that during the era of Abramovich Chelsea has won five FA Cups and five Premier League titles.
