Misbah Said Babar Can Break All Records as Cricketer and Captain:
Former Pakistan cricket captain Misbah-ul-Haq holds the belief that the current captain, Babar Azam, possesses the potential to surpass all previous records in the sport. In an interview with The National, Misbah expressed his confidence in Azam’s capabilities as both a captain and a cricketer.
Characterizing Azam as an exceptional player who excels across all three formats of the game, Misbah drew comparisons between him and some of Pakistan’s greatest batsmen, including Mohammad Yousuf, Inzamam ul Haq, Saeed Anwar, and Zaheer Abbas. He lauded Azam’s technique, elegant batting style, and the substantial runs he has accumulated, deeming him one of the world’s premier batsmen.
Misbah further underscored Azam’s work ethic and unwavering dedication. He expressed the opinion that if Azam continues to play cricket for the next eight to ten years, he could attain a level of success akin to that of Virat Kohli, the captain of the Indian cricket team. Misbah commended Azam’s astute game analysis, his ability to handle pressure, and his unwavering commitment to practice and refine his skills.
