The nominations and categories for 2021 annual awards of Pakistan Cricket Board have publicized.
PCB announced these annual awards on Twitter yesterday. However, categories and nominees will announce on next day.
As, declared early by PCB- First category announced as ” Impactful performance of the year”. This award concerns about single-game achievement.
Impactful Performance of the Year
Four players nominated for this category:
- Fawad Alam’s century against South Africa during test series
- Muhammad Rizwan for amazing knock of 79 runs against India T20 ICC Worldcup 2021
- Hassan Ali’s 10 wickets haul against South Africans
- Shaheen Afridi for stunning bowling in ICC T20 Worldcup 2021
Emerging Cricketer of the Year
For this category four young players nominated those names are Azam Khan, Arshad Iqbal, Muhammad Waseem junior and Shah Nawaz Dhani
ODI Cricketer of the Year
Considering different formats of Cricket four players: Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi nominated in this category.
Test Cricketer of the Year
Four players Abid Ali, Hassan Ali, Fawad Alam and Shaheen Afridi nominated for this category.
T20 Cricketer of the Year
Haris Rauf, Shadab Khan, Muhammad Rizwan and Shaheen Afridi made their entry to nominations.
Women Cricketer of the Year
Awards are incomplete without considering women’s cricket team. Alya Riaz, Anam Amine, Fatima Sana and Nida Dar nominated for this category of awards.
Domestic Cricketer of the Year
For this category of national award Asif Afridi, Muhammad Huraira, Iftekhar Ahmed and Tayyeb Tahir are nominating.
Most Valuable Cricketer of the Year
In this category four nominees included, skipper Baber Azam, Hassan Ali, Muhammad Rizwan and Shaheen Afridi will participate in this contest.
On Thursday 6 January 2022, Award winning players from these categories will announce by PCB on official YouTube channel.
