Residents Sharjah Now Can Directly Message Top Govt Official Via WhatsApp:
Sharjah Municipality has implemented a new initiative aimed at bridging the communication gap between the government and its residents. As part of this effort, a service introduced that enables individuals to directly file complaints to the Director General (DG) using WhatsApp.
The municipality has emphasized that this initiative aligns with its dedication to providing high-quality services that meet the expectations of the community. To avail themselves of this service, Sharjah residents can save the number 0501617777 in their contact list and utilize it to share their feedback, complaints, or suggestions directly with the DG via WhatsApp.
The Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, also actively engages with the public through a radio channel, encouraging citizens to voice their thoughts and ideas to him. The radio show, known as ‘Al Khat Al Mubasher’ in Arabic or the ‘Direct Line’ show, has gained popularity in the emirate due to its focus on addressing the concerns and issues faced by the people. Since its launch in 2006, the program’s host has been reaching out to various government departments or officials to seek solutions and responses for the problems raised by the residents.
