World’s Longest Wedding Dress Train is 8-km Long, Can Cover Mount Everest:
Just a few days ago, a new Guinness World record set in Caudry, a French town known for its lace production. The town unveiled the world’s longest wedding dress, featuring an impressive train measuring 8,095.40 meters (26,559.71 feet) in length, equivalent to enough cloth to cover Mount Everest.
The elaborate wedding gown created by construction company Dynamic Projects in collaboration with 15 volunteers. Over a span of more than two months, they painstakingly stitched individual pieces of the train and then assembled them together. Professional surveyor Christophe Dumont of Cabinet Caron-Briffaut and Guinness World Records adjudicator Rob Molloy oversaw the measurements and presented a certificate to the company.
The record-setting attempt took place during the annual fundraising event, AMF Telethon, which aims to raise funds for non-profit organizations like the French Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Photos of the world’s longest wedding dress shared on the Guinness World Records’ Twitter page, accompanied by the caption, “Breaking: World’s longest wedding dress train could almost cover Mount Everest.” It is worth noting that the team also incorporated the original train from their previous successful attempt in 2006 into the dress.
