Pakistan’s Tharparker district, known for its remote beauty, often grapples with limited access to healthcare facilities. Recognizing this challenge, the Pakistan Army stepped forward to organize a free Pakistan Army Medical Camp.
Held at the Rai Chand Higher Education School, the camp provided vital medical services to over 1,300 residents, including women and children. This crucial initiative ensured access to healthcare that might otherwise be unavailable due to geographical limitations.
The Pakistan Army Medical Camp offered comprehensive medical care at no cost. A team of qualified specialists and Medical Officers from the Army conducted checkups, while the camp itself provided a variety of services:
- Laboratory testing
- First aid
- ECG
- Vaccinations
- Minor surgeries (OT)
- Free medication
The camp also addressed another pressing need – food security. Free rations were distributed to the local population, demonstrating the Army’s commitment to holistic well-being.
The community expressed immense gratitude for the Medical Camp. Residents lauded the convenience of receiving quality medical care and medication close to home, eliminating the financial burden of travel and accommodation often associated with seeking treatment in urban centers. The camp’s free diagnostic tests, which are typically expensive, were another highlight for the community.
This Pakistan Army Medical Camp stands as a testament to the Army’s dedication to serving the people. By addressing both medical and food needs, the camp brought much-needed relief to the residents of Tharparker.
