Dubai to Build World’s Tallest Residential Tower -The Habtoor Tower:
Dubai’s Al Habtoor Group has unveiled plans to construct the world’s largest residential building, known as the Habtoor Tower. Positioned near the Dubai Water Canal on Sheikh Zayed Road, the tower will offer breathtaking views of the Burj Khalifa and convenient proximity to the Dubai International Financial Centre.
Part of the Al Habtoor City development, this multi-billion Dirham project will feature exceptional amenities and luxurious living spaces. Spanning an enormous 3,517,313 square feet, the Habtoor Tower will soar to 81 floors and house 1,701 keys. The estimated completion time for this ambitious endeavor is 36 months.
Khalaf Al Habtoor, the Founding Chairman of Al Habtoor Group, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, emphasizing the employment of unique construction techniques that will enable the tower to be built in record time. He believes the tower will establish a new standard for regional construction and become an architectural masterpiece.
The developers have planned to employ pre-painted metal decking in the parking and commercial areas, resulting in accelerated construction timelines. Additionally, the tower aims to achieve a significant reduction of up to 50% in carbon emissions compared to traditional buildings. Al Habtoor commended these sustainable practices as integral to the tower’s development.
The Al Habtoor Group is currently in the process of selecting a contractor for the project based on their expertise, considering bids from prominent companies in the UAE, China, India, and Europe.
